Bianca
- A piano score for music written for The Taming of the Shrew.
Dance of
the Convicts - Written for My Three Angels.
Padua -
Nursery of Arts - Written for The Taming of the Shrew.
Philomel
(Song of the Fairies) - Score for electric piano and choir,
written for A Midsummer Night's Dream (2004).
Julius Caesar -
The Rebel Within - Inspired by the music written for the 2002 RSS production
of Julius Caesar, this piece was composed for the Luxembourg International
Composition Prize 2004 hosted by the Luxembourg Sinfonietta. The score was written for
clarinet, bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, horn, 2 trumpets,
tenor trombone, tuba, percussion, piano, violins, violas and cellos. Not
my choice of instruments, the competition restricts the
instruments to a particular selection. Anyway, I didn't win.
In fact, I didn't hear anything back from them at all, not even a polite
"thank you for entering". It was a big waste of my
Christmas holiday!
Chorale of Ages
- This is a composition for pipe organ, and was entered into the
"Bach to the Future" Organ Composition Competition run as part of the
Symphony Hall Birmingham's 2003-2004 season of organ concerts.
I didn't win this one either!
