EGAD! THE WOMAN IN WHITE
A comic melodrama based on the novel by Wilkie Collins, opened at
the Richmond Shakespeare Society in December 2014. Directed by Simon Bickerstaffe, with
whom I have worked on numerous occasions in the past, including on
A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Balcony,
the music for this play took itself seriously at times and was absurd at times and was used
to underscore particularly melodramatic moments in the dialogue.
